Band together to fight breast cancer

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Fitbit is introducing a new pink band for Flex and will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for every pink Flex sold during the month of October.

We’re excited to be taking a step towards supporting breast cancer awareness & research. Supporting the American Cancer Society is a natural fit for us, too. According to the ACS, one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy overall is to be physically active on a regular basis and eat healthy. These are of course two things that Fitbit has always been a big supporter of, and our partnership is an extension of that.

With the new Pink Flex, you can take the step towards being more active yourself, and support the ACS while you’re at it. Being more aware of how much you move throughout the day can help motivate you to make fitness a lifestyle.

This new pink band is available at Apple stores and at Fitbit.com. Together, we can help support awareness and research to fight breast cancer.

[Update 10/8: We’ll be selling the pink band separately on Fitbit.com starting on 10/22!]

  • I would love to buy a pink flex band though i already have a flex and LOVE IT!!! Can you please sell the pink flex bands separately .

  • Do you sell the band alone? I JUST bought my flex 10 days ago and so would have bought pink if it had been available at that time. Btw I love this thing! But would so love to have the pink band. I’m a huge supporter of the Susan G Komen 3 Day and walking for the second time in the 3 Day for a Cure walk in Dallas in November and would love to have this band.

  • It is awesome about the new pink band for the Flex! Is there anyway to just donate the $10.00 and buy the pink band for those of us that already have the flex. Thanks for supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month.

  • I think this is a great idea and I LOVE the color but I already have a Fitbit flex. How about also selling just the pink wristband for a smaller donation.

  • My mom and aunt were both recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer within 3 weeks of each other this summer. I already own a Flex, but would LOVE to get a pink band. Are they available without having to purchase another new Flex?

  • They should make the pink flex band available for current customers. I for one would pay extra for it to support breast cancer awareness.

  • Congratulations, great idea with breast cancer awareness being the benefactor.

How about putting the pink band on sale for all of us that already own a flex.
I would be happy to pay a little more and have it donated with perhaps an extra $1 from Fitbit.
    Just a thought!

  • We are recent purchasers of two Fitbit Flex bands. We wanted to support the breast cancer awareness and purchase a pink flex band. It appears it is only being sold with a new purchase of a Fitbit. We hope that you can place this pink flex band up for individual sale and allow current owners to buy one and support breast cancer awareness.

  • I purchased my flex Fitbit with a black band in May. I also purchased one for my husband and daughter. I now see the pink band for breast cancer! I am a 16 year breast cancer survivor. Is there any way I can purchase the pink band and not the Fitbit???? I would gladly donate to The American Cancer Society for purchasing only the band.

  • Will they make the pink band alone available for people who already have a Flex? I already have one and would love to be able to wear a pink band with it to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

  • Will there be pink bands for sale soon? I already have a fitbit flex and would like to purchase one for all the women in my family who also already own fitbit flex!

  • Thank you so much for the Pink Flex and supporting ACS! Very awesome. I was just diagnosed with Breast cancer a few months ago and between surgeries currently. I have been very active for years, and am excited to try the Flex. I have a team together for the ACS walk 10/26. My brother gifted me today with an order. Excited to sport it at the walk- and after. Thanks for the support and product line.

  • I absolutely LOVE my Fitbit Flex! I wish I could get just the pink band to wear this month! I don’t need a new Flex just the band. How do I get one????

  • Pink bands are a wonderful idea, and as a cancer survivor I appreciate the donation. But please let those of us who already own the fitbit buy just the pink band. thanks

  • Any chance the pink band will be available separately? My fiancé and I both are already fitbit flex owners, but would love to support the cause.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

  • When will the pink band be available to order as an accessory? I purchased the black Fitbit Flex for my fiance a couple of months ago, but now she wants the new pink band! LOL

  • It would be nice if you sold the pink band separately for those of us who already have a flex. I’m sure they would sell as many of us actively support any type of effort to fund breast cancer research. I want a pink band!

  • I think it’s fabulous that you’re offering this in support of breast cancer awareness. I JUST bought my flex a week ago and would have gladly purchased the pink version if it had been available then. I hope you’ll consider offering the pink accessory band for those of us who already own a flex, but would like to support this worthy cause! :)

  • Just joined FitBit World Oct 1st. I’m loving it. Seeing the % of activity along with the daily suggested activity in steps, cals, and or minutes per day is very inspiring. I’m excited to keep it moving. #Walking, #jogging, or #running.
    Phenomenal Woman

  • Love my new Fitbit Flex, and I also love that Fitbit supports Breast Cancer Awareness with their new pink band! I so wish you would sell just the pink band individually (maybe a portion could of the proceeds could be donated) as I would love to have one! Thanks for a great product :)

  • On Facebook there was announcement that just the pink band would be available to those of us that already own a flex. When will just the band be available and how can I get one of the pink bands???

  • I started wearing a fitbit flex in July. My activity level had slowed down quite a bit after being diagnosed with breast cancer April 25th, but I wanted to try to at least get 10,000 steps in a day. I have not hit that target that many times, but I had my last chemo treatment October 1st and plan to pick up the pace as far as getting my steps in and getting my life back on track. I just saw the email that displayed the new pink flex band for the fitbit. Is there a way for me to purchase the band without purchasing another fitbit? I would love to proudly wear it after going through a double mastectomy and chemo. I am kicking cancer’s butt!

    • It’s great to hear you’re doing well! After so many people asked for it, we’ve decided to release just the band for purchase as well, and we’ll continue to donate a portion of the sales to the American Cancer Society through the end of 2013. You’ll be able to order just the band starting on Oct. 22nd.

  • I order my Pink Flex band Oct 1st. Now I am just waiting. Can’t wait to start using it. Any ideas on how soon it will be shipped?

  • I just bought the one fitbit and LOVE it. I have a job where I am on my feet all day and saw fitbit on the shopping channel. I thought to myself “I’m gonna try that” I have been challenging myself ever since. I also like the site for all the data for the day, and your sleep as well. I have so many girls interested that I should get 1%of the company now…LOL na just joking, I do love it, thanks fitbit

  • I really hope the band will be made available to those of us that already own a Flex. Thanks! I love the color and the cause!

  • I love the flex. It is my third fitbit. I lost my first one and washed my second one. I love that I don’t ever have to take it off (except to charge it). We have started a craze at my golf club. I am excited to hear that you are going to sell the breast cancer pink wristbands separately. Can’t wait until October 22! When are you going to get the three pack of wristbands in?

  • I’ve had my Fitbit since the end of September and am LOVING it! So, so excited to see that you all will be selling the pink band for Breast Cancer Awareness separately. I will be buying it the day it comes out :)

  • I managed to kill my Ultra so I just ordered the Pink Flex 9 days ago! Any idea when these will actually be shipping? I’m currently without one and going into withdrawal!

  • I bought fitbit one end of June 2013. I have lost 7+ kilos in four months.

I found the whole system amazing and well planned. I turned 60 in July. I walk my dogs every day. I think logging the food and seeing the energy in vs out plus the encouragement , badges, weekly reports, all reinforces the process

I have completely changed the way I eat. I have not been hungry, nor craved any previously loved foods.

    This is an amazing programme!

I wish only for food sources for Australia to be an option, as the guessing and converting is sometimes tedious.

I love that most of my clothes are way to big for me now!!

  • Love my Fitbit Flex but it would have been nice if you could have offered either a red or blue band for November. November is Diabetes Awareness Month and Nov. 14th was World Diabetes Day. Hope you’ll make an effort to recognize this next year because diabetes doesn’t get enough attention. Exercise is more than vital in the prevention as well as the treatment of diabetes.
