Enjoying Relax is a breeze—just launch and go. Blaze measures your heart rate in real-time to set a personalized breathing pace before beginning your choice of a 2- or 5-minute mindfulness session. Cardio Fitness Score and Level

After rave reviews from Charge 2 users when Cardio Fitness Tracking originally launched, Blaze is joining the party.

Cardio Fitness Score with Fitbit Blaze Update

Today’s Fitbit Blaze update bundles in a Cardio Fitness Score to estimate your VO2 Max, the widely-accepted gold standard for grading how well your body uses oxygen while working at its hardest. A higher VO2 Max denotes both higher fitness levels and indicates higher performance potential for endurance activities like running, biking, and swimming.

Measuring VO2 Max traditionally involves paying an average of $250 to visit a lab, donning an oxygen mask, and running on a treadmill to exhaustion. Cardio Fitness Scores from Fitbit lets you save time and money with an easier, less invasive option to approximate your VO2 Max. Blaze factors in your age, gender, weight, heart rate, and exercise data to present your Cardio Fitness Score along an estimated range. For more precise scoring, take Blaze on a connected GPS run for at least 10 mins on flat terrain then let the Fitbit app take care of the rest!

Cardio Fitness Level with Fitbit Blaze Update

The Fitbit app uses your Cardio Fitness Score to calculate your Cardio Fitness Level, rating it from poor to excellent based on your age and gender. Tips and guidance within the app give you a holistic understanding of your cardiovascular health over time, empowering you to make smart choices during your fitness journey.

  • I would really like the interval training or at least the ability to move out of the workout/weight exercise so that I can use the stopwatch and countdown timer. Would really help with rest periods. Luckily the Fitbit is pretty good at knowing when I’m working out but still have times where I have to go in and change the exercise form workout to weights.

  • I think that Fitbit should add a few mini games for fun because a lot of smart watches have that these days. It would also make more people buy it
    From your number one fan

  • People have been asking for an interval timer since 2014. Its the most popular way to train today, and yet you dont support it while Garmin products do. You need to listen to your customers.

  • If you can implement these features then why not the interval timer?
I love my Fitbit Blaze and when I saw that other models had interval timers I thought it was just a matter of time before you implement it. I am so very very disappointed that you haven’t been listening to the requests for this feature – they are all over the web.

  • I really wish they would add the Blood Pressure tracking feature back into the app. Given how pervasive Heart disease is, and how essential tracking those numbers are. I

  • The cronograph clock face is awesome. But for us europeans the m/d date format is bad. Please make it customizable.

  • Would still love to see the time that the face stays lit last longer or be able to be adjusted by the user. I don’t care about battery life, I care about being able to see the screen for longer than a couple of seconds.

  • Any chance pokemon go integration is coming? it’s really the only thing I feel this watch is missing.

  • Extremely disappointed that interval timing was not added to this update! It is ridiculous that lower version have it already and it is not added. Interval time training is extremely popular, especially with new runners/walkers and you are missing the mark by not adding this feature that numerous customers have been asking for since 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better fireworks?? Seriously, that take priority over key functionality???

  • I really think the stopwatch / timer could use some major updating. It would be great if I could set a few specific time intervals where my blaze would vibrate at specified times. For example: I do a lot of workouts where I want to be working really hard for 5 min and then do a more relaxed movement for 2 min and I want to do this five times. I would love it if my fitbit could let me know when my five min were up and then my 2 min without having to reset the timer. Especially when I am running that is a major pain in the butt. I think it would be best to set up these intervals and name them on the app and then be able to select them from my blaze. So I could swipe over to the timer select “HIIT 5-2” or whatever and get working. This would help me an insane amount!!!!

  • Hey I have been getting a 403 error while trying to install the update on the blaze through the fitbit app, seems like something is missing during the install.

Also I was wondering, when will there be updates to the guided workout, as I thought that was the thing that would be expanded on much more.

  • Was the strength of the alarms increased? It never wakes me up. It’s very weak. That’s the only complaint I have about this device because otherwise it’s fantastic and these updates look great!

  • Awesome update, love it. Keep it coming w more watch faces tho, hope about a smiley face or pro sports teams look?

  • The updates are welcome and I really enjoy the Blaze since owning it for 6 months, but you’re really missing an opportunity as the prompt to move option is so important for so many sedentary users and us office workers, yet you still only have 1 watch face where it’s hourly progress can be seen, please add this as a bold new watch face, it should be easy as you already have the tech and it would then trounce the Garmin.

    • I would really like to the “Move” widget on more watch faces as well. Is there a place where we can submit a request for a feature like this?

  • How about the new sleep tracker, it is awesome. I have sleep apnea so this comes in very handy and is more accurate than just using motion.

But you have to have all-day sync enabled to get the better stats. Wish you coukd tell it to turn on all-day starts only during specific times. That could improve battery life.

  • Absolutely love the new updates. Analysing my sleep patterns really helps me self audit, while having the relaxation ability in my wrist is incredibly helpful throughout my day. I also love the updates to the alarm functions. Thank you

  • I for some reason have not been able to update my tracker?! I have tried for a couple days now and no updates show on either the app or my Blaze itself… ideas anyone???

  • I’ve had the fit bit surge and now I have a blaze and I absolutely love my blaze. I’ve sold about a dozen people on the blaze. And I absolutely love the new updates

  • Just got my Blaze 2 weeks ago and I am ready to throw it in the trash and go back to my flex. It worked great till the update……
Now it does not sync, and when it does it only syncs steps. It does not properly measure distance. 18000 steps is NOT equal to 1.8 miles. Not by any stretch.
The screens in the app are never the same. For instance dashboard says ex- 1.2 miles. touch the tile and go into distance and it will say something else. Sometimes more, some times less…..

Problem # 2 it doesn’t measure sleep correctly. I know when I go to bed and when I get up…… it is over an hour off some days.

  • Great update! would be awesome to get notifications from more than one conversation app at a time, like whats app, FB messenger and texting 🙂

  • which is best fitbit alta hr or Blaze. I want to purchase the best buy out their.I notice blaze have more options than alta hr.

  • I like the variety of clock faces as I found one I more than others. I would like the “Simple Multi Stat” except that I’m not a pink kinda guy. And highlighting the stats you complete in pink is almost like highlighting in red… why not green like the app when you succeed?

I hope you will develop more clock faces for the future, not a waste at all!

  • I hear they’re awesome Fitbit BlazeI wished I could afford one I would get one unfortunately I can’t

  • Great colours of those clock faces but usability is quite poor. Only one face has active minutes (and is too pink) only one face has stop watch, countdown missing, date is in American format despite European setup. There is still missing fully equipped watch face comprising all features. Better one simple face having useful features than many colours. 🙂

  • With the device being sold as an outdoor active fitness tracker, I would like to see a solar recharge capability. water proofing would have been a nice addition as well.

  • I have been using Fitbit for long time. But Blaze is very good addition/alternate to people like me who does workout. Big complaint, we have limited number of clock faces (Apple kind proprietary). When would Fitbit will realize to ad more to collection? In high tech work at least Fitbit can do. Stopwatch while working out, and more…

  • Are there any new faces for blaze in the pipeline? I really hope so. I like the digital ones, with the date and display all goals on screen or with one touch. The ones currently matching this description are limited in colour options. Please put out a new release Fitbit. Thank you
