Buddy Macuha is a San Francisco favorite who brings over 20 years of high energy, passion and laughs to the fitness and yoga industry. He has appeared on KRON-4, CBS Network, Good Day Sacramento, NBC Network and KFOG Radio as the ‘fitness guru’ and has been interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle, SF Weekly, San Francisco Magazine, Daily Candy and Lifetime TV.
He is an International Trainer for Keiser Fitness and travels across the U.S. motivating the masses. His list of awards include the San Francisco Chronicle’s Best Instructor in the Bay Area, the San Francisco Guardian’s Best of the Bay Instructor, and 7×7 Magazine’s Best Step Class. He is a frequent presenter for IDEA, CAN-Fit Pro, IHRSA, and ACSM Conventions. In addition, he can be heard on Itrain.com and has done voiceover work for Virtual Active.
To say that Buddy’s yoga class is a #gamechanger would not be saying enough! He combines his technical training from his teachers, Annie Carpenter and Stephanie Snyder, and his acting experience as an extra on Nash Bridges for a show- stopping event that will keep you moving, sweating and smiling the entire time! Buddy has presented for the Wanderlust Yoga Festival and is the only eight-time lululemon Ambassador. He brings his love of yoga into every class and honors all who have the courage to create possibilities in their life!
Buddy’s cycling journey began when he started teaching indoor cycling. He enjoyed it so much that he earned six different cycling certifications and incorporated their philosophies into his classes. The biggest impact was when he decided to ride in the AIDS Lifecycle event from San Francisco to Los Angeles in seven days. He has completed five rides and the road experience he gained has helped him create some of the most challenging classes. His motto is “just keep pedaling”.
Currently, Buddy is the Group Fitness Manager for Equinox Gym where he uses his degree in Kinesiology to develop and motivate his team to success. He leads the region as the NorCal Cycle Mentor and is the Cycle for Survival Lead Instructor. His passion for teaching is unparalleled and he brings out the best in everyone!
Buddy is excited to be working with Fitbit and looks forward to meeting the awesome community at the next event in San Francisco!
