Cara Gilman is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor and running coach who radiates positivity. A genuine and passionate fitness professional, she loves what she does and it shows. Her classes incorporate many different styles and skill levels, but always share common themes: love, kindness, and connectedness. Cara’s classes, workshops, and retreats are known throughout the Boston area. She was named top yoga instructor in 2013 by Competitor magazine and has been featured in other media outlets, including Boston magazine, BostInno, and Runner’s Connect.
Cara has the legs of a marathoner and the heart yogi, always striving to challenge herself, and seeing every obstacle as an opportunity to learn and grow. She has completed 9 marathons to date. Running marathons has also become a way for Cara to increase awareness for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease. She and her husband have raised nearly $20,000 in the past two years for the Foundation, and are actively involved in the Boston Young Professional group.
Cara is thrilled to serve as a Fitbit Local Ambassador for Boston. You can find Cara on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and online at www.caragilman.com. She can also appear on your iPhone via the Yoga with Cara Gilman app.
Chad is an AAFA certified fitness instructor who has designed and led fitness classes at exclusive gyms and boutique clubs, including Equinox, Barry’s Bootcamp, Reebok, and other Boston-area gyms and studios. As a former occupational therapist and school administrator, Chad has parlayed his extensive background in education, health, and rehabilitation, a lifelong passion for fitness, and his love of friends and community to create a community-driven, outdoor fitness company Public Body.
Chad is known for developing creative fitness programming where people not only work hard but play hard as well, celebrating group and personal accomplishments on the road to health and wellness—or as he says, hotness and awesomeness. His philosophy promotes a balance of intense exercise, balanced nutrition, and social play with like-minded fitness fans. His work in every fitness studio and with Public Body is a reflection of his belief that it not only “takes a village,” but we make the village, and we can all be stronger together. Chad brings his knowledge, energy, and creativity (and gratuitous, impromptu dance moves!) to create unique opportunities for all to push their limits and achieve results. Whether held in local parks, on the beach, or in the clubs, every session is a reflection of his commitment to challenge, entertain, and inspire.
He looks forward to working with more fitness fans as a Fitbit Local ambassador for Boston and is forever thankful for growing an even more fantastic community of fitness rockstars! More info about Chad and his fitness world can be found at www.publicbody.com, and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
