Meet Fitbit Ambassador Jules Sebastian

Fitbit Ambassador Jules Sebastian.Life can get busy, and no one knows that as well as mum, stylist, TV presenter, philanthropist, blogger, and Fitbit Australia’s newest ambassador, Jules Sebastian. She recently sat down with Fitbit to chat about why health and wellbeing are important to her and her family and how Fitbit Versa helps her live her best life.

What does “a day in the life of Jules” typically look like?
My job involves a little bit of everything, so there’s no typical day. However, most mornings I start early at around 6 a.m. when my boys, Hudson and Archer, wake up with loads of energy. I eat breakfast, prep the boys for their morning drop-offs, and then head to the gym for a workout and some “me time” before going to work.

Some days I’m out and about styling photoshoots, managing meetings, and juggling emails. Other days I’m working on my “Tea with Jules” webseries, interviewing inspirational women and sharing their incredible insights. My husband, Guy, and I also run a charity together, which we try to give time to everyday. Once the boys are in bed, I have a cup of tea, finish emails, and make time for a guided breathing session on my Versa.

Why does health and wellbeing matter to you?
Health and wellbeing is so important to me and my family. It’s not about the way you look; it’s about the way you feel. I love my Versa because it tracks my progress and helps keep me motivated, even on days when that means just hitting my hourly step goal.

How do you find balance in your work and home life?
Finding balance is hard, especially when you’re juggling work, family, and friends. I think managing all of those components starts with setting aside some time for yourself. If you do that juggling the other bits feels much easier. Scheduling time to do things you enjoy, whether it’s jogging or having coffee with friends, is the first step to finding balance. Setting reminders using the silent alarms feature on my Versa also helps.

What’s your top tip for styling your Fitbit device?
There is a whole range of accessories, so you can mix and match your Versa with your wardrobe. I love all of the options; it’s so easy to change out bands and have a different look for every occasion.

What’s your favorite type of workout?
I enjoy resistance training. I like to push myself to increase the amount of weight I can lift, which allows me to feel stronger each time. I have to be honest though: I like the feeling I get after working up a sweat more than actually doing the exercise!

What activities do you like to do with your children?
The boys keep us on our toes; we have a very active lifestyle with them. We love hanging out at the beach, running while they ride their scooters, and hitting the pool during summer months.

What motivates you?
My husband is my main motivation. Training together in the gym has amplified that feeling. We recently did a 10-week challenge together. Our workouts are fun, and our competitive energy keeps us striving to do our best.
